Our approach
Amanda Maxwell uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each child's needs. Her practice draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Behavioural Therapy (BT), and Systemic Family Therapy to support young people with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges, and movement disorders. She has specialised training in Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention for Tics (CBiT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), particularly for children with Tourette Syndrome and motor stereotypies. Sessions are structured around evidence-based interventions designed to help children develop practical skills and strategies for managing their difficulties.
