What therapy and assessments cost: rebates and gaps

See what each funding route leaves you to pay.

EarlyBloom team · Facts last checked 18 October 2026 against the sources below

Key points

  • Choose what your child needs and enter your clinic’s fee.
  • Tick the funding you have, such as a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, an M10 treatment plan or an NDIS plan.
  • Compare what each route leaves you to pay.

Why this helps

What you pay depends on the clinic’s fee and on your funding, such as Medicare, the NDIS or private health extras. Each one has its own rules and limits, so the costs are hard to compare. This calculator works out each route on its own from the fee you enter, so you can compare them.

General information, not medical advice. This tool does not assess or diagnose your child. Talk to your GP or another health professional about your child.

How this works

What this tool does

  • Works out your costs from the Medicare rebates and NDIS price limits listed below
  • Shows each funding route on its own, with its rules and sources
  • Keeps your answers in this browser tab, and does not save or send them

What it does not do

  • Tell you whether your child qualifies for any plan or rebate
  • Know what your clinic charges, so the fee you enter sets the result
Our tools help you find information, work out costs and get ready for appointments. They do not screen, assess, diagnose, monitor or treat any condition. They never tell you whether your child is likely to have a condition. What you type into a tool stays in your browser; we do not store it. For advice about your child, talk to your GP, a child health nurse or another health professional.
