  • Our approach

Therapy at Zen Society follows a non-clinical approach grounded in evidence-based practice, where sessions don't feel like a checklist but rather create safety and trust for meaningful change. The psychologists speak plainly rather than in jargon and treat clients as people, not diagnoses. Sessions focus on exploring what's happening through listening and asking questions, moving beyond symptom management toward lasting wellbeing. The clinic is committed to an integrative model of mental health that recognises the interconnectedness of mind, body and community. All Clinical Psychologists undertake ongoing professional development to ensure assessment and treatment methods remain current and grounded in the latest research.

  • Meet the team

The team consists of Dr Sophie Pitt (Co-founder and Clinical Psychologist, Board-Approved Supervisor) who is known for her calm energy and sharp clinical thinking, particularly in supporting children and adolescents through complex challenges across assessments and therapy. Talia Luca (Co-founder and Clinical Psychologist) brings warmth, insight and deep curiosity to her work, with focus areas including mood, anxiety, trauma and attachment-focused therapy alongside cognitive and diagnostic assessments. Regina is a Provisional Clinical Psychologist, and the team is rounded out by front desk and reception support. All Clinical Psychologists are AHRA registered and committed to ongoing professional development.

  • Your first visit

At your first appointment, you'll come in and have a chat with one of the psychologists who will listen, ask questions, and explore what's happening with your child. You don't need to have everything figured out—that's the clinic's job. After listening and understanding your situation, you'll walk away with a clear direction and next steps, whether that involves therapy or a formal assessment. The process is designed to be welcoming and straightforward, without unnecessary jargon or clinical formality.
