  • Our approach

Therapy Partners uses a collaborative, person-centred approach that works closely with you and those around you to develop personalised care plans tailored to your goals. Sessions are designed to help maximise your independence at home, work, school or in your local community, drawing on development plans, strengthening activities and cutting-edge techniques. The provider brings together a comprehensive range of occupational therapy, speech pathology, behavioural support and psychology services, with friendly and supportive therapists who are passionate about helping you achieve your goals. All care plans consider primary goals, family and friends, challenges and all aspects of life, with flexibility to meet individual needs whether delivered in-person or via telehealth.

  • Working with families

The provider takes a collaborative approach that actively involves you and those close to you throughout the therapy journey. The team commonly works with families, support coordinators, health liaisons and people in your wider community, such as workplaces, schools and community groups, to support your development and goals. Open communication ensures that family perspectives inform personalised care plans, and the provider emphasises working together with everyone involved in your life to maximise your independence and achieve the outcomes that matter most to you.

  • Meet the team

The team comprises over 40 years of combined experience across occupational therapists, speech pathologists, behaviour support practitioners and NDIS-registered psychologists serving South-East Queensland. Key team leaders include Founder & Director Selina Dwyer, Director & Senior Occupational Therapist Jody, and specialists like Cody F (Occupational Therapy Team Leader), Crystal (Speech Pathology Team Leader), Sharon (Behaviour Support Team Leader), and Amanda (Psychologist Team Leader). Each therapist has unique and diverse backgrounds, with the team trained across a range of interventions to provide specialised support for individual needs.

  • Your first visit

At your first appointment, new clients are asked to complete a New Client Form regardless of previous therapy experience. This allows the team to assign a therapist best suited to your condition and needs. An Initial Assessment is then completed (such as Occupational Therapy Initial Assessment, Speech Pathology Initial Assessment, Behaviour Support Assessment, or Psychology Assessment). Following the assessment, a comprehensive report is provided that outlines the purpose and goals for future therapy, giving you a clear roadmap for your ongoing care.
