Our approach
At Youth Empowerment Psychology, therapy is grounded in a trauma-informed, strength-based approach that uses evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and play-based approaches tailored to each young person's needs. Sessions provide a warm and inclusive environment where children, teens, and young adults can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours without judgment. The team recognises the unique strengths and struggles at every developmental stage and works collaboratively with families, schools, and GPs to ensure holistic, wraparound care. Every therapy journey begins with a thorough assessment to understand the young person's needs, followed by creating a personalised plan. The approach is culturally sensitive and designed to empower young people to develop practical, person-centred strategies that help them thrive.
