  • Working with families

Parent or caregiver involvement is central to the assessment process, with dedicated parent/caregiver interviews as part of all initial assessments. The clinic contacts your child's school with your consent to gather additional information. Feedback appointments are provided to discuss findings and recommendations directly with parents, and written reports are provided to summarise assessment outcomes and guide next steps.

  • Meet the team

The team includes Dr Fiona Bailey, Director and clinical psychologist; Aneira Connell, a clinical psychologist with experience supporting children and adolescents; Susan Rivers, a psychologist with particular expertise in sleep disorders and experience with stress, anxiety, depression and grief; Olivia Corrente, an early career psychologist with a Masters in Educational Psychology and experience in paediatric settings with autism assessment; and Della Tanri, an early career psychologist with a Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology and experience in primary school settings. Services are also provided by trainee psychologists (Master's level students) under direct supervision of these senior staff members.

  • Your first visit

Initial assessments typically involve a parent or caregiver interview, a child interview and observation, contact with your child's school (with your consent), and a feedback appointment to discuss findings and recommendations, followed by a brief summary report. Extended initial assessments offer the same structure but also include formal assessment of cognitive abilities and/or academic achievement, with a full written report provided. The clinic aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of your child's needs and clear recommendations for next steps.
