Our approach

Sessions combine structured play, explicit teaching, and practical strategies delivered in a safe, supportive environment where children learn social skills they can apply to the real world. The provider focuses on building confidence and helping children become flexible social thinkers and problem solvers. All programs are designed to be engaging and fun while teaching long-term strategies that actually work for navigating social challenges. Children learn in an environment that recognises their individual goals and needs, whether that involves emotional regulation, friendship-building, or social problem-solving.

Meet the team

Social Minds is led by Monique, the Founder, Managing Director and Head Therapist, who has over seven years of experience working with children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She holds a Bachelor of Public Communication from the University of Technology Sydney and a postgraduate degree in Autism from the University of Wollongong (completed 2022). Monique has completed extensive training in evidence-based programs including Secret Agent Society, PEERS for Young Adults, and PEERS for Preschoolers, as well as specialised courses in Pathological Demand Avoidance and Zones of Regulation. She has worked directly with more than 200 clients aged 3.5 to 30 years. The team also includes Support Workers who provide personalised community-based support for clients aged 3.5 to 65 years old.
