  • Our approach

Luminate OT tailors therapy to each child and family's goals, using a neurodiverse affirming, strengths-based, and trauma-sensitive approach. Sessions combine evidence-informed practices including Marte Meo, D.I.R-Floortime, and Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS), alongside support for sensory processing, motor skills, self-care, emotional regulation, and social wellbeing. Therapy can take place in the home, educational setting, or community settings depending on what works best for the child's goals. Weekly or fortnightly sessions are offered, with regular progress reviews and comprehensive written reports provided at least annually. The focus is on empowering children and families to live meaningful, authentic lives while respecting all abilities, needs and cultures.

  • Working with families

Parent involvement is central to Luminate OT's approach. At minimum, a parent-only meeting is required once per school term when a child is seen outside the home setting, which can be in person, by phone, or via telehealth. Clients' goals and progress are regularly reviewed to ensure effective therapy outcomes, and comprehensive written reports are provided to families at least once per year or as required. The service emphasises collaboration with families to deliver individualised therapy, and communication can be arranged to suit your circumstances.

  • Meet the team

Luminate OT is directed and founded by Chloe, a registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA accreditation. Chloe brings extensive experience supporting children and young people, with particular expertise in kindergarten and primary school ages. She is trained in Marte Meo and D.I.R-Floortime approaches for building connections, Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) model, and specialises in feeding and mealtime therapy. Chloe is committed to ongoing professional development to maintain evidence-based, neurodiverse affirming practice that meets the needs of families and the wider disability community.

  • Your first visit

The initial appointment involves an initial planning phase where goals are set together with the family. A free consultation can be scheduled to discuss your child's needs and concerns. Depending on the family's requirements, Luminate OT can provide comprehensive, once-off assessments relating to specific concerns, or assessment as part of ongoing therapy to determine goals and inform future planning. The assessment process helps shape the tailored therapy approach that will follow. Therapy location—whether at home, school, or community settings—is determined based on the goals identified during this initial phase, though this may change over time as circumstances evolve.
