Our approach
Paediatric Occupational Therapists at Little Tree Kids Therapy use a play-based approach to connect with children and support their engagement in therapy. This evidence-based method recognises that play is essential for children's physical, cognitive, social and emotional development, making therapy sessions fun, enjoyable and effective in achieving goals. The practice adopts a strengths-based philosophy that shifts focus from a child's limitations towards their inherent strengths, abilities and potential. Sessions are child-centred and individualised, tailored to each child's unique strengths, needs and interests. Therapists use positive reinforcement to celebrate achievements and progress, no matter how small, fostering motivation and confidence. Services are available in-practice, via mobile visits and through telehealth to suit your family's needs.
Working with families
Little Tree Kids Therapy recognises that families play a crucial role in a child's development and well-being, and is committed to working hand-in-hand with parents and caregivers to achieve the best possible outcomes. Families are seen as partners in the therapeutic process, with their knowledge, experience and insights valued throughout. Education and support are provided to families to promote development at home, and you are empowered to be active participants in promoting your child's development. The practice ensures that families feel supported throughout their journey, providing continuity of care and guidance at every step of the therapeutic process.
