Our approach
Human Kind Psychology uses a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to individual needs, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (including trauma-focussed CBT), acceptance and commitment approaches, systemic family therapy, open dialogue, and parent-child relational strategies such as the Circle of Security programme and emotion-coaching. Sessions typically involve discussing existing coping strategies and support networks, exploring concerns and feelings, setting up experiments or homework to try at home, and developing reward systems to support new goals. The practice draws on Marte Meo infant mental health approaches and offers solution-focused and emotion-focused work with couples. Services are designed with your individual needs in mind, and Damian encourages open discussion if you'd like to explore different approaches or options as therapy progresses.
