Our approach
Sessions are grounded in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Schema Therapy. The therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and person-centred, tailored to each child's strengths, culture, and goals. For children and adolescents, a family-oriented approach is used, involving parents, teachers, and allied-health professionals to create practical, individualised strategies. Sessions are described as warm, playful, and supportive spaces where children build confidence, emotional awareness, and resilience through creative, evidence-based care.
Working with families
The practice provides child and family therapy that involves the whole family, with sessions designed to include the child, parents, or both depending on treatment goals. Dr Riham adopts a collaborative, family-oriented approach that involves parents, teachers, and allied-health professionals to create practical, individualised strategies. Parents are central partners in the therapeutic process, working together with the psychologist to foster their child's growth, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
