Our approach
Claire practices from a relational foundation, creating a safe and respectful therapeutic environment where children, parents and families feel understood. Sessions are grounded in an evidence-based, client-focused approach that values kindness, respect and collaborative working. Claire draws on multiple treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Interpersonal therapeutic approaches. She helps clients develop deeper self-awareness and insight into their relational dynamics, with the aim of fostering flexibility and meaningful change. Her doctoral research emphasized the importance of early intervention and parent-child relationships, which shapes her work across all ages.
Working with families
Claire takes a client and family-focused approach, emphasising collaborative working with parents and families. Her doctoral research and clinical practice centre on the importance of parent-child and carer-child relationships as foundational to supporting infants and children. She works with families to develop insight and understanding, fostering a therapeutic environment where family members feel safe and supported to work together towards shared goals. The practice values open, authentic communication as part of this collaborative process.
