  • Our approach

The service works in ways that feel natural for children, supporting them in familiar spaces like home or school where they feel at ease and stay engaged. Sessions are tailored to each child's everyday environment, with strategies taught and applied directly within daily routines. This approach reduces disruptions to school and family life while promoting comfort, openness, and steady progress. A client-centred philosophy guides the work, with psychologists using therapeutic approaches tailored to individual needs and prioritising a non-judgmental, supportive environment. The focus is on understanding how each child learns, feels, and responds, providing practical strategies that fit naturally into daily routines.

  • Working with families

Each assessment includes an initial parent session and a parent feedback session, ensuring parents are informed throughout the process. Reports include correspondence with teachers and detailed written recommendations for supporting your child at home and school. The team works closely with families to understand each child's unique needs and provides collaborative guidance for parents, carers, and teachers on practical strategies that support progress in daily life. Follow-up support is available to help parents apply recommendations and continue supporting their child's development, with guidance tailored to home routines and school collaboration.

  • Your first visit

The initial consultation phase begins by understanding your concerns and gathering background information to identify the best approach for your child. This is followed by a structured, child-focused assessment session tailored to your child in a calm, supportive setting, where the psychologist observes how your child learns, communicates, and responds through structured activities. After assessment, you receive a detailed report outlining your child's strengths and areas of concern, along with practical recommendations and guidance to support your child at home and in school. The full process typically takes place over 2 to 3 sessions across a few weeks, allowing the psychologists to understand your child thoroughly and provide well-informed recommendations. Follow-up support is available to help you apply the recommendations and support your child's ongoing development.
