Our approach

Working with families
Parents and caregivers are warmly welcomed to participate in their child's OT sessions, as your involvement provides valuable insights and helps reinforce therapy goals at home. The provider engages families as active participants in their child's therapy journey, working collaboratively with you, educators, and other professionals to create a supportive network. Your occupational therapist will discuss your child's progress and personalised treatment plan with you, ensuring you're informed and involved throughout the therapy process. There may be times when the therapist needs one-on-one time with your child (with your consent), but overall the approach is centred on family partnership.
Your first visit
During your child's first session, the occupational therapist conducts a comprehensive assessment that includes observing your child and discussing their developmental history. The therapist will identify specific areas for intervention based on your child's abilities, needs, and goals. A personalised OT therapy plan is then developed and discussed with you. The appointment process is straightforward: you contact the clinic, confirm a convenient time, attend your scheduled appointment, and meet with one of the qualified therapists to begin the treatment plan.
