• Our approach

  The service uses a strength-based and family-centred approach to support children and young people towards their goals. Sessions last 1 hour, with 45 minutes of direct intervention and 15 minutes for discussion, note-writing and session preparation. Therapy takes place in natural environments including home, childcare, preschools, schools and the community. The occupational therapist works closely with parents, educators and others in the child's life to help achieve goals. Online support and parent coaching sessions are also available depending on the child's goals.

• Working with families

  The service works closely with parents and carers as part of its family-centred approach. Service delivery notes are emailed to you after each session so you're kept informed of what was covered and progress made. The therapist involves parents, educators and other key people in the child's life to help work towards their goals. Parent coaching sessions are also available depending on your child's goals, allowing for direct support of parents in strategies and strategies to support their child's development.

• Meet the team

  The service is run by Occupational Therapist Grace Cheung, who holds a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney and has more than 5 years of experience supporting children and teenagers with Developmental Delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities and Physical Disabilities. Grace has received training in DIR Floortime® and Occupational Performance and Coaching. She is bilingual and delivers therapy in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, with a special interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals in the community.
