  • Your first visit

Your first session is designed to be a safe, welcoming and pressure-free space where your psychologist will spend time understanding your child's concerns, background and goals. They will ask about what brought your child to therapy and any relevant experiences, encouraging your child to share at their own pace without rush. By the end of the session, the psychologist will work with you to develop a personalised treatment plan and offer insight into the therapy approach that may be most beneficial. Parent and caregiver involvement may also be included in sessions, depending on your child's needs.
