About 2include Disability Support
2include is an NDIS Registered Behaviour Support Provider working alongside participants, their families and support networks across New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. Founded and led by Melissa Slimming, our team brings together experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners from a range of disciplines who are committed to quality, empathy and meaningful, lasting change. We use positive, person-centred and evidence-based practices that build on each person's strengths, interests and goals. As a proudly neurodiversity-affirming service, we advocate for the equal rights, inclusion and empowerment of every person we support.
Our services include Positive Behaviour Support Plans, Functional Behaviour Assessments, Assessment and Recommendation Reports, strategies to reduce Regulated Restrictive Practices, ongoing implementation, monitoring and evaluation through a transdisciplinary team approach, as well as our All Abilities Social Club and disability support — available weekdays, weekends and during school holidays. We follow a clear five-step process: initial consultation, functional assessment, development of a tailored Positive Behaviour Support Plan, hands-on implementation with your support network, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation to ensure your plan grows with you.

Our approach
At 2include, the team uses positive, person-centred, evidence-based practices that focus on including clients and what matters most in their lives. Sessions involve building on individual interests and strengths to achieve positive, lasting change that supports personal goals and wellbeing. The approach is neurodiversity affirming and advocates for equal rights, inclusion and empowerment of all people. Practitioners work in partnership with clients, their support networks and other important people in their lives to ensure effective implementation of support strategies. Sessions are tailored to individual needs rather than offering standard services, with ongoing monitoring and evaluation to keep support plans as live documents that incorporate positive results and are updated based on effectiveness.
Working with families
2include prioritises communication and partnership with families and carers throughout the support journey. From the initial consultation onwards, clear and constant lines of communication are maintained as the team gathers information and develops support plans. The approach is built on shared understanding and partnership, with practitioners working collaboratively with the client's support network and other important people in their lives to ensure effective implementation of behaviour support plans. Families are included in the development of person-centred, evidence-informed plans that reflect individual needs and are tailored to the client's life, interests and what matters most to them. Testimonials consistently highlight how the team listens attentively, engages with family perspectives, and provides training and support to help carers improve their own understanding and ability to support their children.
Meet the team
The team is led by Melissa Slimming, Director and Founder, who is an NDIS Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Disability Studies, extensive experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours across multiple settings, and crisis intervention training. Three Team Leaders—Briana Quinn, Marsil Nazir and Jessica Laker—are all Behaviour Support Practitioners who provide direct client support and training. The broader team includes ten additional Behaviour Support Practitioners with varying experience levels, plus disability support staff members Lulamay Craufurd Gormly and Helena Woodland who support the All Abilities Social Club. The team is described across client testimonials as passionate, experienced, professional, compassionate and dedicated to high-quality, person-centred support that creates lasting positive change.
Your first visit
At the initial consultation, practitioners meet with the client and their loved ones to gather background information, assess prior and current supports in place, and get to know the family. This consultation focuses on understanding the person's support needs and ensures 2include can support them through their behaviour support journey. Following the initial consultation, a functional assessment is undertaken where the practitioner assesses every aspect of the client's life to build deep knowledge of who they are, their support needs and the function of their behaviour. Throughout this process, 2include maintains clear and constant communication with families while gathering information and developing a risk assessment. The team identifies the client's strengths, motivations and what is important in their life to form the foundation for their personalised support plan.
