About UNSW Parent-Child Research Clinic

We are a fee-for-service clinic accepting referrals for children ages 7 and under with behaviour problems. We primarily provide Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, an evidence-based program found to be effective for reducing problem behaviours in children ages 7 and under. We work with all families with children with behaviour problems but have substantial experience with those showing limited prosocial emotions.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Evidence-based program involving both parent and child, delivered through weekly coaching sessions using a bug-in-ear device during therapeutic play. Typically takes 12-21 weeks to complete.
HOT DOCS Group Parenting Program
7-week evidence-based group parenting program for parents and carers of children aged 18 months to 5 years, offering a problem-solving approach for everyday behaviour problems.
Internet-delivered PCIT
Secure face-to-face treatment with an experienced therapist over the Internet for interested and eligible families.
School PCIT Clinic
Free, tailored PCIT intervention at Ingleburn Public School for parents, children, and teachers to improve children's social and academic outcomes.
