Our approach
Therapy at Aperture Psychology uses evidence-based approaches tailored to each person's individual needs. Sessions draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness-based approaches to address a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, perfectionism, phobias, sleep difficulties, anger, and emotional regulation challenges. The initial assessment typically takes two sessions to build a clear understanding of your situation and create a personalised treatment plan. Therapy sessions usually start weekly for 50 minutes and can transition to fortnightly or monthly as you progress, with most clients seeing measurable improvement within 6 to 10 sessions. Throughout treatment, progress is tracked using standardised questionnaires and clinical assessment, and after active treatment ends, the team continues supporting you by connecting with relevant people in your life to help prevent setbacks.
