Our approach
At TLC-WA, therapy is delivered through an integrated, family-centred approach tailored to each child's unique circumstances, challenges and aspirations. Sessions combine evidence-based practice with practical, goal-oriented strategies designed to optimise a child's growth and development. The practice offers individual and small group sessions, with flexibility to deliver treatment at home or school if needed. Sessions draw on a range of evidence-based therapy models and specialized training techniques specific to each discipline. The focus is on creating a friendly, caring, nurturing environment where clients feel comfortable while working towards meaningful, achievable outcomes.
Working with families
The practice works closely with families to understand their needs and ensure they are central to therapy planning and delivery. TLC-WA liaises with schools, day care centres and other key stakeholders involved in a child's care so that everyone understands the treatment approach and can positively contribute to the child's ongoing development. Parents are involved in setting therapy goals and receiving practical strategies they can support at home. The team communicates with families to ensure treatment is tailored to their individual circumstances and geared towards achieving their goals. This collaborative approach ensures parents and carers are partners in their child's therapy journey.
Meet the team
