  • Our approach

Spectrum Therapy uses a transdisciplinary approach where Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy work closely together to support children's participation in everyday activities. Sessions are delivered in natural community settings like home, daycare and school, where children learn and practice skills within their everyday routines and relationships. This community-based practice is designed to best support children with disabilities to achieve their individual goals and promote growth and development. The therapists work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, teachers and support staff to ensure consistent, meaningful progress.

  • Working with families

The provider works closely with parents, caregivers, teachers and support staff to address individual goals and promote growth and development. Communication and collaboration with families is central to their person-centred practice approach. By delivering services in natural community settings where families are present, parents and carers are actively involved in seeing and understanding their child's therapy within everyday routines and relationships. This partnership approach ensures consistent support across home, school and community environments.

There's no "too early." If you have concerns about your child's talking or understanding at any age, an assessment can clarify whether support would help.

Session length varies between clinics and services, so check it with the provider when you book. The number depends on your child's goals; the pathologist will recommend a plan after the initial assessment.
