Our approach
Play therapy is based on the belief that children can express their innermost feelings and challenges through play and can subsequently heal themselves, regulate their own feelings and behaviours, and make long-term improvements through their own effort. Rather than using traditional counselling methods that rely on verbal expression, play therapy offers children a calming, therapeutic space to work through feelings in a non-verbal way through play—the child's natural language. Sessions are supported by the therapeutic relationship to bring about growth, development and healing. The approach is extensively proven, professionally recommended and evidence-based for children with behavioural, emotional, social, developmental and psychological issues.
