  • Our approach

The Psych Collective emphasises helping people develop deeper understanding of their mental health symptoms and conditions, then learn practical skills to manage them and tackle root causes. Sessions focus on providing actionable strategies and real skills to support meaningful change. The approach draws on evidence-based methods including Schema Therapy and DBT, with an emphasis on making complex information accessible and easy to understand. Resources are offered in multiple formats—videos, infographics, worksheets, text-based guides, and handouts—so you can choose what works best for your learning style.

  • Meet the team

The team includes Jessica O'Garr, a clinical psychologist who specialises in trauma and is an APHRA-accredited supervisor, and Dr Al Griskaitis, a psychiatrist who works primarily with occupational PTSD in military veterans and current and former police officers. Both are described as experienced clinicians passionate about making mental health practical, accessible, and evidence-based. Jess runs therapy groups for DBT, Trauma and Sleep, and can provide clinical supervision to psychologists in Australia.
