Our approach
The Psych Centre works collaboratively with clients using a warm, down-to-earth approach that builds understanding of your child's concerns. Psychologists focus on creating a trusting, safe environment where children feel comfortable being open and honest, which supports growth and positive change. The practice offers evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, and Sand Therapy for children, among many others. Sessions can be delivered face-to-face at either the Gosnells or Rockingham clinic, or via online video and telephone when in-person attendance isn't possible. The team provides compassionate care grounded in both professional expertise and real-life experience.
Meet the team
The team consists of experienced psychologists and clinical psychologists, with most having practiced for over two decades. The practice is led by Joanne Robinson, the Director and Practice Owner, a psychologist with over 30 years' experience who started the practice in Gosnells in 1993. Other team members include Dr Anna Granston, Dr Elizabeth (Libby) Rodwell, and Lisa D'Souza (all Clinical Psychologists), along with Registered Psychologists such as Samantha Parsons, Kirsty Terry, Richelle Schultz, and others. The team brings diverse expertise to address individual and family needs through both short-term and longer-term interventions. A practice support team handles appointments and administration, and a therapy dog named Genghis is available at both clinics to support clients.
