  • Our approach

Sessions are structured around evidence-based neuropsychological practice, tailored to the individual's needs. For children, this includes cognitive assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, skills training (such as social skills and stress management), psychological support, behaviour intervention and management of school-based issues. Therapy aims to help improve cognitive functioning, enhance independence and confidence, and promote overall wellbeing. The clinic takes a collaborative, patient-centred approach, working closely with families and supporting diagnostic clarity and treatment planning.

  • Meet the team

The clinic is led by Rachael Neville, an endorsed clinical neuropsychologist and Fellow of the College of Clinical Neuropsychologists, with extensive experience across paediatric, adult and geriatric populations and training in hospitals across Sydney. She is supported by Visnja Vlahovic, a clinical neuropsychology registrar with a Master of Clinical Neuropsychology and broad experience across neurology, mental health, rehabilitation and paediatrics in both public and private settings. Visnja is skilled in neuropsychological assessment, differential diagnosis and cognitive rehabilitation, and takes a collaborative, trauma-informed, evidence-based approach. Gemma Sremchevich, the Clinic Executive Assistant, ensures smooth day-to-day operations and handles initial enquiries.

  • Your first visit

The first appointment involves a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive, behavioural and psychological symptoms to help determine diagnosis and inform treatment. The assessment process typically includes a comprehensive interview, cognitive testing (such as standardised measures of cognitive and academic ability), parent and teacher questionnaires, and behavioural review. A referral from your treating doctor is strongly advised though not required. It is recommended to contact the clinic on 02 4786 0492 or admin@tchclinic.com.au to discuss your child's specific needs and confirm appointment details.
