  • Our approach

    Sessions at Set for School are play-based and led by qualified teachers in a home-like studio setting. Small groups of no more than 8 children work together on turn-taking, friendships, sitting and focusing, fine-motor skills, early literacy and numeracy, and practising independence. The whole-child approach weaves together the social, emotional and practical skills children need to walk through the school gate feeling capable. There's a real difference between preparing a child and pushing one, and the program sits firmly on the preparing side, building confidence without pressure.

  • Meet the team

    Set for School was created by Susan and Emma, both experienced educators. Susan is an early childhood educator with over two decades of experience, and Emma is a current primary school teacher. Sessions are led by qualified teachers who have taught in real classrooms on both sides of the kindergarten door, so they understand exactly what children are walking into.
