Our approach
RiverRun offers occupational therapy, play therapy and group sessions in a holistic, family-centred and evidence-based approach that celebrates diversity and individual strengths. Sessions focus on tailored skill-building for children and young people working towards developmental milestones in motor, sensory, social and self-care skills, with play recognised as children's first language for expression and learning. The practice operates in two clinics in the Macedon Ranges as well as community and natural spaces, creating comfortable, neuro-affirming environments where children flow at their own pace and choose their own path. Values of integrity, connection, creative innovation, respect and fun drive everything the team does, with a commitment to helping children and families brave life's rapids and achieve their best outcomes.
Meet the team
The team includes Carah Harrison (Director and Occupational Therapist), five paediatric occupational therapists (Angie Ritchie, Stef Longo, Caitlin Thomas, Sam Turner and Monique Volk), and Jasmine King, a Paediatric Registered Play Therapist with qualifications in social work, mental health and child psychotherapy. Two allied health assistants (Ella Hallinan and Olivia Patamia) are completing their degrees in occupational therapy and speech pathology respectively, supported by administrative staff. The practice is family-centred and evidence-based, actively recruiting qualified clinicians and running a New Graduate Program to support emerging therapists in a nurturing environment.
