  • Our approach

Ringland Psychology uses an evidence-based, attachment-focused approach grounded in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Rather than offering quick fixes, the work centres on understanding the underlying causes and functions of difficulties so they can be resolved in a comprehensive and lasting way. Sessions are experiential and relational, exploring not just thoughts but also physical sensations and patterns of feeling and behaviour that often happen outside conscious awareness. The therapeutic relationship itself is considered key to successful treatment, with emphasis on creating a safe, understanding and compassionate space where difficulties can be safely explored. Treatment is conducted on a weekly or more intensive basis to build necessary momentum for meaningful change.
