  • Our approach

Revolve Psychology creates a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where children and adolescents can explore their mental health concerns. Sessions are tailored to each individual's unique needs, with a focus on building trust and open dialogue. The approach emphasises developing practical coping strategies and skills that help young people navigate life's challenges with confidence and emotional resilience. Therapy can be conducted in environments where you feel safe and comfortable—such as at home or school—recognising that familiar settings help build trust. Throughout therapy, you'll have opportunities to practice new skills in real-world scenarios, applying what you've learned to everyday challenges with ongoing support and guidance.

  • Working with families

Parents and carers are central to the therapeutic process. Rob begins with parent consultations to gather detailed information about your child's background, experiences, and goals, ensuring you're involved from the start. He offers parental training and familial management services where he works directly with each family member to improve communication, understanding, and strengthen family relationships. Rob can provide individual therapy to parents and family members, and will attend school meetings with educators or principals to advocate for your child's needs. Throughout the process, he liaises with families to create comprehensive support plans and ensures everyone is working together towards improved outcomes.

  • Your first visit

The initial consultation focuses on gathering detailed information about your child's history, strengths, personal goals, and current challenges. Rob meets with parents and guardians first to understand your child's upbringing, psychological and emotional wellbeing, home and school experiences, academic performance, and treatment goals. He then coordinates classroom observations and conducts psychological assessments to develop a comprehensive understanding of your child's abilities, social interactions, and support needs. Following assessment, a detailed report is provided to parents, guardians, and educators that includes observations, insights, assessment results, and recommendations tailored to support your child's wellbeing and academic performance.
