  • Our approach

A whole-child approach is used, supporting speech, feeding, and communication through air-way focused, neuroaffirming care. Following an assessment, an individualised treatment plan is developed to specifically target each child's individual needs. The clinic honours each child's unique strengths while helping them breathe better, speak clearer, and thrive with confidence. Evidence-based and advanced therapeutic approaches are prioritised, with the team continually training in specialist areas. Services range from speech therapy and feeding therapy to orofacial myology, functional neurology, and swallowing management using advanced diagnostic tools.

  • Meet the team

The team is led by Dr Nada Makki-Karnib, the founder and principal speech & language pathologist, who brings over 20 years of combined experience in speech pathology and biomedical science. She holds formal training in oromyofunctional therapy, lactation certification, functional neurology, dysphagia management including FEES, and multiple evidence-based programs for autism, stuttering and voice. The clinic employs multiple senior speech therapists, a senior exercise physiologist, and allied health assistants. The team prioritises evidence-based, neuroaffirming approaches and continual professional development.

  • Your first visit

A comprehensive diagnostic assessment evaluates speech, language, literacy and swallowing function. To help the clinic best understand your child's history and needs, you should bring reports from paediatricians, psychologists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists, as well as school reports if possible. An information letter sent to all new clients provides further details, including parking options and what to expect. A referral from your GP or paediatrician is not required to book an appointment, but is needed to claim Medicare rebates for speech pathology sessions.
