Our approach
Kids Feeding Specialists uses a child-focused, multidisciplinary approach that recognises mealtimes as a significant source of stress for many families. Sessions prioritise creating a safe, non-judgmental space where children can develop a positive relationship with food while their nutritional status is optimised. The team engages the whole family unit, offering practical strategies and education to help parents better understand and support their child's feeding difficulties. Every plan is tailored to the individual child's needs, with a commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practice. The goal is to foster enjoyable and rewarding mealtimes that support growth and development.
Working with families
The provider is deeply committed to family involvement, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for families to share their experiences, concerns and wishes. Parents and carers are actively educated and supported to better understand and help their child with feeding difficulties, with the whole family unit considered when developing plans. The service offers both in-person and telehealth appointments, ensuring families can access support regardless of location. The team listens carefully to families' complex histories and works collaboratively to implement practical strategies tailored to each child's individual needs.
