Our approach
Pop-Up Therapy uses a strengths-based, person-centred approach that empowers young people to grow, learn, and become the best version of themselves. Sessions are tailored to each child's unique interests and needs, making therapy fun and engaging while supporting them to create a meaningful life through learning, growth, and connection. Therapists work closely with families to honour the individual contributions of children and their support networks, assuming competence and seeing value in all progress—however small. The service comes to you at home, school, early childhood centres, community settings, or via telehealth, removing travel barriers and fitting into your family's everyday life. The approach focuses on real occupations that matter—learning, play, self-care, social participation, and achieving personal goals that are important to each young person.
Working with families
Parents and carers are central to the therapy process, with therapists working closely alongside families to empower them with strategies to support their child at home. The service recognises the value of the whole network of supports around each young person and sees families as partners in achieving meaningful goals. Therapists communicate and collaborate with families to translate therapy into everyday life, ensuring that progress extends beyond sessions. The provider also offers professional learning workshops delivered to parents, carers, and family members to build knowledge and skills in supporting children's development.
