Get to know Physio Inq

From Physio Inq's website.

  • Our approach

Physio Inq delivers person-centred, goal-oriented therapy tailored to each child's needs and real-life environment. At sessions, therapists introduce themselves, listen to your child's concerns and history, review any relevant medical information, and may assess how your child moves through hands-on examination of joints, muscles and movement patterns. After establishing what may be contributing to your child's concerns, the therapist discusses outcomes and proposes an agreed treatment plan designed to help your child achieve their goals. Sessions are delivered flexibly in your home, community settings such as schools or childcare, or via online consultations, removing barriers to care and allowing therapy to happen where it matters most in your child's everyday life.

  • Working with families

Physio Inq recognises the central role that families and carers play in supporting children and welcomes family involvement in sessions where appropriate. All treatment plans are developed in collaboration with the child, their family or carer, and other allied health professionals involved in their care. The team provides practical guidance and clear communication throughout the therapy process, and coordinates directly with family members to ensure continuity of care. If you would like to discuss your child's needs before making a referral, the team welcomes that conversation and can be reached on 1300 731 733.

  • Meet the team

Physio Inq is a multidisciplinary allied health team comprising physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, and speech pathologists. The paediatric physiotherapists are AHPRA-registered clinicians with experience supporting children living with a wide range of conditions, including neurological disorders, physical disability, acquired brain injury, intellectual disability, and complex health needs. The team works collaboratively across disciplines to provide coordinated care that supports each child's physical health, independence, communication, and long-term wellbeing. Therapists are experienced in delivering evidence-based, person-centred treatment tailored to each child's goals, lifestyle and health needs.

  • Your first visit

At your child's first session, the physiotherapist will introduce themselves and take time to listen to your concerns, your child's history, and why you're seeking physiotherapy support. They will review any reports, plans or relevant medical information you provide. Following this discussion and understanding your child's goals, the therapist may assess how your child moves, which may involve hands-on examination of joints, muscles and movement patterns. After this comprehensive assessment, the physiotherapist will discuss the findings with you and propose an agreed treatment plan to help your child achieve their desired outcomes.
