Our approach
Jillian Ballantyne, the occupational therapist, supports children and their parents or caregivers in a non-clinical, home-like gym setting. Sessions are guided by the principle that children's main "occupation" is to learn through play, with therapy tailored to each child's individual needs. The therapist evaluates a child's skills in playing, school performance and daily activities, then uses this information to design interventions that help children improve their physical, cognitive and sensory abilities—including movement, play, language, learning and behaviour. A key benefit is seeing a boost in the child's confidence and self-belief. The approach focuses on working closely with children and their families to achieve real outcomes that contribute to their quality of life.
