Our approach
OAK Family Therapy uses occupational therapy and play therapy to support children's development through connection and capability-building. Sessions focus on understanding how each child receives and processes sensory information, recognises their emotions, and develops skills across areas like regulation, executive function, daily living activities, and social engagement. Therapists work with practical, play-based strategies that help children understand their inner world and build confidence. A core principle is that therapy extends beyond clinic sessions, with therapists providing families and schools with practical strategies and supports to create lasting change in home and community environments.
