  • Our approach

At O'Donnell Psychology, individual therapy is goal-focused and tailored to each young person's unique needs, drawing on evidence-based psychological approaches to ensure the most effective and up-to-date methods are used. Sessions are 50 minutes long and available for a range of concerns including anxiety, mood-related challenges, behavioural difficulties, and parenting support. The practice emphasises collaboration with parents, schools, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support that extends beyond the therapy room. Treatment is grounded in the understanding that young people thrive best when their important relationships are included in their care.

  • Working with families

O'Donnell Psychology emphasises collaboration with parents as a core part of treatment, working together to ensure a holistic approach that includes important figures in a young person's life. The practice values parental input and communication throughout therapy, recognising that parents play a vital role in their child's emotional and developmental wellbeing. Sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the young person and their family together. This collaborative philosophy extends to working with schools and other professionals involved in the young person's care to provide coordinated, comprehensive support.
