Our approach
Naomi takes a holistic, evidence-based approach that recognises eating disorders as complex and interconnected with other mental health concerns. Sessions are tailored to each person's unique needs and incorporate therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behaviour therapy, emotion-focused therapy, psychodynamic and family-based therapy. The practice emphasises creating a safe, supportive environment with genuine empathy and a non-judgemental stance, where clients feel empowered to explore the underlying factors contributing to their eating disorder. Sessions focus on fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust, helping clients work towards recovery and restore a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. The therapy space itself is designed to be calming and comfortable, promoting relaxation and an atmosphere where clients can safely explore their thoughts and emotions.
