Our approach
At Morgana Walker Psychology, the approach is neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. Sessions focus on understanding how your child's mind works rather than viewing neurodiversity as a problem to be fixed. Care is thoughtful and evidence-informed, grounded in lived experience, with practical strategies you can use in everyday life. The practice creates a warm, respectful, and collaborative space where children and families feel genuinely understood and safe. Sessions are designed to support the whole system around you, including parents, relationships, and real-world contexts. You'll leave with clear understanding of what's happening and strategies that actually fit your life.
Working with families
Family involvement is central to the practice's approach. Care is designed to support the whole system around the child, including parents and relationships. The practice recognises that you don't exist in isolation and that support should extend to parents, learning environments, and daily life. Family and parent support services are explicitly offered as part of the practice's services, indicating that parents are active participants in the therapeutic process rather than bystanders.
