  • Our approach

At MindMovers Psychology, therapy is tailored to each child's unique needs using a range of evidence-based modalities. The team uses approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, play therapy, schema therapy, mindfulness, ACT, and psychodynamic methods—often weaving in creative and sensory-based strategies like movement and art to make sessions engaging and fun. The focus is on helping children and teens understand themselves, build emotional resilience and self-awareness, and create real, lasting change. Sessions are interactive and collaborative, with the philosophy that true strength comes from vulnerability and connection.

  • Working with families

MindMovers believes that for lasting change, a whole family approach to therapy is important. The team works collaboratively with parents, carers, teachers and other people involved in the child's life to implement consistent, effective strategies across all areas. Parents are viewed as key partners in their child's growth, and the clinic is committed to supporting families through the journey of parenthood and helping them find the tools to keep building long after sessions end.
