  • Our approach

Mind Matters uses a client-centred, collaborative approach grounded in evidence-based psychological therapies tailored to each individual's needs and values. Sessions are warm and supportive, conducted by experienced clinical psychologists in a thoughtfully designed, spa-like environment that feels calm and welcoming rather than clinical. The practice emphasises empowerment, helping clients develop insight, build resilience, and acquire practical skills and strategies to manage challenges. Your psychologist will take time to understand your unique experiences and goals, then work with you to create solutions that align with what matters most to you.

  • Meet the team

Mind Matters has a large team of experienced clinical psychologists, each with a minimum of 6 years of psychology study and chosen for their expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, and bilingual abilities. The team is led by principal psychologist Karen Martin and includes specialists in areas such as complex trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, couples therapy, eating disorders, and neurodiversity. Each clinician brings a warm and compassionate approach alongside their own unique personality and specialisation.

  • Your first visit

Your first appointment lasts 75 minutes, allowing your psychologist to thoroughly understand what you're experiencing without rushing. They will ask questions to identify your goals and get to know you, then tailor therapy specifically to your needs. It's normal to feel nervous, but the gentle approach and warm environment are designed to help you feel at ease. You'll leave feeling empowered with a greater understanding of your mindset and practical tools to find balance and address unhelpful thoughts, behaviours, and emotions.
