  • Our approach

The therapy approach centres on holistic, evidence-based assessment and treatment tailored to each child's interests and functional goals. Sessions are personalised and may take the form of 1:1 therapy, joint speech and occupational therapy sessions, or structured small groups, depending on your child's needs. The team recognises and embraces neurodiverse children's strengths and uniqueness, creating safe, positive environments where children can build confidence and motivation in their communication and everyday skills. Therapy is designed to improve independence and confidence in daily life, with a strong focus on celebrating progress, no matter how small.

  • Working with families

The clinic has a strong family and relationship focus, guiding parents to understand their child's needs and helping build stronger family connections. The team communicates regularly with parents and checks in even after therapy sessions to ensure things are progressing well, and plans ahead to communicate with teachers and other staff to prepare your child for big transitions like starting school. Parents' decisions about diagnosis are respected, with the clinic focusing on positive outcomes without pushing for labels. The approach is collaborative throughout, ensuring therapy is tailored to each child's strengths, interests, and needs while keeping families informed and empowered.

  • Meet the team

The team includes two speech pathologists with Masters degrees (Kibby Fung and Marina Youssef), a speech pathologist with a Bachelor degree (Alice Gibbs-Cohen and Sioned King), and five occupational therapists including those with Masters qualifications (Penni Hohtoulas, Maegan Miller, Lora Guirguis, and Samara). Team members have experience spanning early intervention, school readiness, feeding and swallowing, fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, social communication, and literacy. Collectively they bring diverse experience across community services, specialist early learning centres, public schools, private practices, and acute care settings, with some team members fluent in additional languages including Cantonese, Arabic, Greek and Mandarin.

  • Your first visit

At your first appointment, a detailed assessment is conducted to evaluate your child's strengths and areas where they need support. The therapist will discuss findings and share an overview of the proposed therapy plan, then work with you to set goals in consultation. Following this, the team determines joint therapy needs, how often sessions should occur, and what out-of-home support strategies may help your child. No referral is needed to book an initial appointment, and the clinic welcomes Medicare clients, private pay clients, and NDIS-managed clients.
