Our approach
Occupational therapy sessions focus on helping children develop skills and confidence to participate in their daily activities—those they need to do, want to do, and are expected to do. The approach emphasizes understanding each child's motor capabilities, interoceptive awareness, and social competence while exploring individualised ways to support learning. Sessions involve modifying tasks, adapting environments, and building skill development tailored to the child's needs. Collaboration with families is central, as the therapist works alongside parents' expert knowledge to promote self-care, optimal learning as a student, positive relationships, and community participation.
