Our approach
Physio Inq provides a person-centred, goal-orientated physiotherapy service designed around each child's needs, routines and support network. Sessions begin with the physiotherapist introducing themselves and listening carefully to your concerns, history and goals, then reviewing any relevant medical information or reports. The physiotherapist will assess how your child moves, which may involve hands-on assessment of joints, muscles and movement to identify what may be contributing to any concerns. Following a comprehensive assessment, the physiotherapist discusses outcomes with you and proposes an agreed treatment plan tailored to help your child achieve their desired goals, with therapy delivered in familiar environments such as home, school or childcare settings.
Working with families
Physio Inq recognises the central role that families and carers play in supporting children and welcomes family involvement in sessions where appropriate. All treatment plans are developed in collaboration with the child, their family or carer, and other allied health professionals involved in their care. The team provides practical guidance and clear communication throughout the therapy process, and coordinates directly with carers and family members to ensure continuity of care. If you have questions or would like to discuss your child's needs before making a referral, the team welcomes that conversation and can be contacted on 1300 731 733.
Your first visit
At the first session, the physiotherapist will introduce themselves and take time to listen to your concerns, history and reasons for seeking physiotherapy, while reviewing any relevant reports or medical information. They will then assess how your child moves, which may involve hands-on examination of joints, muscles and movement patterns to understand what may be contributing to any concerns. After completing a comprehensive assessment, the physiotherapist will discuss the findings with you and propose an agreed treatment plan designed to help your child achieve their goals. The entire process is collaborative and tailored to your family's needs.
