Our approach
The practice uses a collaborative, family-centred approach tailored to each child's needs. Psychologists draw from evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing, adjusted to meet each client where they are in their journey. The team incorporates play-based and developmentally informed approaches, recognising the unique challenges children and adolescents face and valuing the importance of working with families to ensure individualised care. Other allied health professionals including occupational therapists and speech pathologists conduct standardised assessments and provide functional support to help children achieve their maximum level of independence and develop practical life skills. The multidisciplinary team shares consultation notes and reports to work on shared care plans.
