Our approach
Kids & Co. believes children and young people can make meaningful change to fulfil their potential and grow into happy, healthy adults. The practice takes a family-centred approach, recognising how relationships and life experiences shape development, and how emotional or behavioural concerns affect everyone in the family. Sessions begin with developing a personalised treatment plan tailored to your family's specific needs, based on research evidence for the most effective intervention in your situation. All clinical psychologists have extensive training in child and adolescent mental health, child protection, and working with children, young people, adults and families. The team works closely with you to create effective and efficient change, valuing your views and experiences throughout the process.
Working with families
Kids & Co. takes a family approach, acknowledging the importance of the young person's relationships and how behavioural and emotional problems affect family members. The practice values your views of your current experiences and works closely with you to make effective change. Individual, parent and family therapy options are available, allowing flexibility in how you engage with the service.
Meet the team
Kids & Co. was founded in 2000 by Dr Anna Cohen and Amanda Frawley, and is staffed by a team of highly qualified and experienced clinical psychologists and psychologists. All clinicians have extensive experience and training in child and adolescent mental health, child protection, and working with children, young people, adults and families. Each psychologist has their own special interests and experiences, which allows the practice to match your child's needs with the most suitable clinician. The team is well recognised by colleagues, media, the wider community, and respected by GPs, psychiatrists and other reputable organisations across Australia.
