Our approach
Kids Club uses a child-centred, play-based approach where therapy is tailored to each child's interests and strengths. Sessions focus on building communication, movement and everyday life skills in a fun and engaging way, with children learning through play and meaningful activities they love. The experienced therapists work collaboratively with families to create personalised therapy plans, and every session is designed to help children thrive at home, school and in the community. The welcoming, bright clinic environment sets a supportive tone where children feel at ease and ready to learn.
Working with families
Family involvement is central to the Kids Club approach. The therapists work closely with families to ensure important goals are prioritised and achieved, and parents are included in developing personalised therapy plans. The team provides ongoing support for the whole family throughout your child's journey, recognising that no family should navigate this alone—when you join Kids Club, you become part of a supportive village. Communication is clear and stress-free, with the team also guiding families through funding options and NDIS processes with clarity and care, ensuring parents feel supported every step of the way.
Meet the team
Kids Club has a dedicated team of experienced paediatric therapy professionals. Taryn is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from Curtin University in 2006 and has been working in Perth since then; she focuses on helping children become independent and functional in their daily activities and occupations. Lara is a Speech Pathologist who completed her degree at Curtin University in 2018 and has particular expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to help children find their voices. Annie is a Physiotherapist who joined in 2022 and specialises in helping children develop their movement skills and build confidence in their physical abilities. The team works collaboratively with families and schools to deliver personalised support.
Your first visit
At the initial appointment, one of the experienced therapists will schedule a time to meet with your child and assess their strengths and goals. This appointment helps the team understand what matters most to your family and what your child needs support with. You'll discuss your child's development and any concerns you have, and the therapist will work with you to create a personalised therapy plan tailored to your child's needs. After this initial assessment, your child will begin therapy sessions designed around their interests, with the team continuing to monitor progress and adjust plans to maximise outcomes.
