Our approach
Kate Li Psychology draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support children with anxiety, trauma-related difficulties, and developmental disabilities. The practice has a strong clinical focus on early intervention, believing that no issues are too small for therapy. Sessions are structured to support emotional regulation, social communication, and everyday life skills, with the team actively involving parents and carers in treatment planning and decision-making. The psychologists work to create a safe and collaborative space where children can build resilience and recover from their difficulties. Kate also develops individualised behaviour support plans and delivers verbal behaviour programs tailored to each child's needs.
