• Our approach

  At Integral Occupational Therapy, children's OT sessions are warm, engaging, and tailored to each child's needs. Sessions often look like play but every activity is thoughtfully chosen to build key skills such as emotional regulation, attention, motor coordination, social interaction, and everyday independence. Children might be drawing, building, climbing, playing games, or practising real-life tasks while the occupational therapist observes how they respond, what helps them feel calm, and what makes tasks easier or more challenging. Parents are welcome to be involved, and therapists share practical strategies and simple activities you can use at home or school so progress continues between sessions. There is no one-size-fits-all approach—each session is personalised to make therapy positive, meaningful, and relevant to your child's everyday life.

• Working with families

  Parents are welcome to be involved in children's OT sessions. Occupational therapists share practical strategies and simple activities that parents can use at home or at school to support their child's progress between sessions. The service works collaboratively with your child's support network—including teachers, caregivers, and other health professionals—to establish meaningful short- and long-term goals. If your child is an NDIS participant, the team can also work with you, your Support Coordinator, or Plan Manager to ensure therapy aligns with your child's NDIS plan.

• Your first visit

  No referral is required to start children's occupational therapy—families are welcome to contact the service directly to book an appointment. If your child is an NDIS participant, the provider can work with you, your Support Coordinator, or Plan Manager to ensure therapy aligns with your child's NDIS plan. They can also guide you on what information may be helpful before your first session. If you would like to claim a Medicare rebate, a referral from your GP is required under a Chronic Condition Management Plan. Whether your child has a diagnosis or you simply have concerns about their development, learning, behaviour, or wellbeing, you are welcome to reach out.
