Sessions help children work through difficult life events and situations using current early childhood treatment methods. The philosophy centres on the belief that children grow best through relationships and play, with therapists meeting each child exactly where they are.

  Inspiring Play is deeply committed to walking alongside families with warmth, care and curiosity, supporting children's emotional wellbeing while empowering parents to feel confident and connected. The provider offers parent support programs and parent coaching through their Up Parent Programs, as well as Filial Therapy services which involve parents in the therapeutic process. The family-focused approach means parents are actively involved in their child's therapeutic journey and supported to foster deeper connections with their children.

• Meet the team

  Emma Nissen is a Registered Play Therapist and Early Childhood Professional with over 20 years' experience supporting children and families on the Sunshine Coast. She specialises in supporting young children with big feelings, anxiety, trauma and neurodivergent needs through warm, child-centred and play-based therapy. Emma is also passionate about empowering parents and fostering deeper connections between children and their families using evidence-based, neuro-affirming practices. The practice employs highly trained Early Childhood Professionals and Play Therapists dedicated to helping children overcome social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
