Our approach
At Inspiring Play, sessions are child-led and grounded in connection, allowing each child's unique strengths, needs and pace to guide the therapy process. Play therapy creates safe, nurturing spaces where children can express themselves, build emotional skills and feel understood. The approach is family-focused and uses evidence-based, neuroaffirming and trauma-informed practices to support children's emotional wellbeing. Sessions help children work through difficult life events and situations using current early childhood treatment methods. The philosophy centres on the belief that children grow best through relationships and play, with therapists meeting each child exactly where they are.
Working with families
Inspiring Play is deeply committed to walking alongside families with warmth, care and curiosity, supporting children's emotional wellbeing while empowering parents to feel confident and connected. The provider offers parent support programs and parent coaching through their Up Parent Programs, as well as Filial Therapy services which involve parents in the therapeutic process. The family-focused approach means parents are actively involved in their child's therapeutic journey and supported to foster deeper connections with their children.
