Our approach
Sessions are guided by a family-centred and strength-based approach that builds on each child's individual strengths to support their skill development and participation in everyday activities. The occupational therapist collaborates closely with families throughout the therapy process. She has completed additional training in evidence-based strategies including trauma-informed practice, sensory integration, DIR Floortime, and autism-related approaches. Individual therapy addresses a wide range of skills including emotional regulation, fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, daily living skills, play, executive functioning, sensory processing, and social skills. The service offers both clinic-based appointments on Wednesdays and mobile outreach sessions on Mondays and Fridays, bringing flexibility to how and where your child receives support.
